I am officially in the 150's!! I knew I had a good week! Even Saturday - which is usually more tough just cause it's so different - even that was a good day! In fact, it was great! A good workout in the morning makes having a good eating day much easier.
The elliptical has been SO difficult for me! A month ago, I would have laughed if anyone would have told me I would have stayed on it for 30 minutes. But guess what? Yesterday, I did it!! It feels SO rewarding. Thank you Taylor for letting me take your ipod - what a huge difference that makes! Minutes go by so much faster with motivating, loud music pumping me through it.
Has anyone seen that new show on TLC called "I Can Make You Thin"? It is so interesting. Google it and check it out. I have been very mindful of "conscious eating" which is what the first show was about. I have a hard time believing one part of this plan. It is eating what you want when you want. Paul McKenna says if you are hungry - EAT! And eat what you want, as long as you eat consciously, chewing every bite 20 times, and stopping when you are satisfied. Sounds a little crazy? I know. It was easy to justify a cadbury egg today cause I just said, "my body wants it!!" I'm so curious to learn more about him and his plan.
It seems like if I continue to have weeks like this one (working out at least 5 days and eating well) then I should be losing weight faster. I certainly hope that is true, so I can see the fruits of my efforts. Today, I am just happy to see that number 5 on the scale after the number 1 - (even if the third one is 9!)
I feel motivated to have another great week.
I CAN!

Hot diggity!! So glad you had a good week. It must be so very motivating! Kelley was telling me about the "plan" you mentioned in your entry. Eat what you want. Hmmmmm. I know that if I eat "junk" my body feels dirty, so to speak, and so more junk isn't going to make it any dirtier so it is easy to eat more junk. But, if I've eaten good for a good portion of the day (and exercised) I feel "clean" and it's easier not to want to dirty up my insides. So getting a good start is important! Brownies for breakfast isn't a good start.
Congratulations sweetie! A hard fought week - and a battle won!
Love you,
Mom
Great job my friend!!! 150's!!! I would love to be in the 150's right now....I will just have to settle for my 5 lb weight loss in two weeks. (That has a 5 in it too!) Love you....keep elipticaling!!!

Way to go, Tracy! 2 pounds this week...that is awesome! Shoot for another 2 this week. You can do it. You're on a roll, baby!
Love,
Nikki
YES!!! I was going to bring up that show by Paul McKenna. Did I? Anyways, I also thought it was very interesting. It's just about conscious eating and slowly getting rid of cravings. I saw the show on the tapping technique also. That was WEIRD. But, I guess it has been shown to be effective because it uses accupressure pressure points. Anyways, congratulations! I haven't weighted myself in months! LOL
Good for you! That's a great milestone and you'll just keep going strong! So glad you had a great week - keep it up!
Great job Tracy!
2 pounds a week is a healthy pace, and if you keep that up you will reach your goal in no time!!
Great job, Tracy. Did you already say and I just missed it...how much you're trying to lose?
Today at work we started a The Biggest Loser challenge to motivate each other. There's 7 of us doing it. We plan to walk together on our lunch hour. Today was our 1st weigh in. I was SO dreading the weigh in and having to share my weight with my co-workers. Uggh!!! This one girl, I GUESS in an effort to console me, says don't feel bad, I weigh 120 and I have NEVERRRRRR been in the 120's my entire life. Uh, HELLO!!!!! should I slap her NOW or wait til after work and shove her down the stairs??? Seriously!
Whoever loses the most at the end of 2 months wins $200.00. 2nd place wins $50.00 (we all pitched into a pool). This BETTER work!
Way to go Tracy! Keep going, one foot in front of the other and you will get there. You are looking great. Thanks for sharing this with us so we can be a support to you and you can continue to be a support to us. Woo-Hoo the 150's... WTG!!!
