Advice? Words of Encouragement?

Thank you for looking for my update mom. That's why this blog is good - even when I have a bad week, I still have to do it for my wonderful supporters! :)
.
Four words for ya...
.
Time. of. the. month. If affects me every time. I always am SO bloated. As part of it, a migraine clobbered me and kept me home from church on Sunday too. Thank you Stephanie for being "me" in primary!
.

Okay - that's not all. I also can't quite push away the food. I JUST WANT TO SCREAM!!!!!

I mean, these next seven days ARE going to pass no matter what this week. I can either let them pass while eating well, or let them pass while eating the junk - which means I can either stay the same this week, or lose a pound. I know what I WANT - where is my willpower? I found it when I quite drinking soda. But I can't find it again. HELP ME FIND IT!
.

What helps you?

I don't think there is any magic or trick. Like the Nike people say, you just do it! You do it when you don't want to. You do it when you don't feel like it. You do it when it's hard. You do it when you hate it. You just do it. I know that's easy for me to say, but I listen to Dave, who quit both alcohol and nicotine addictions. He always says, "You got ta want ta." He says it's that simple and until you want it badly enough it doesn't happen. I tell him how hard hearted he sounds, but he stopped smoking and drinking before me and the church came along. So I guess he knows what worked for him anyway. Never give in and never give up.
I love you.

Tracy, ALOT OF PRAYER! I have found that listening to my body for hunger cues works well for me. You know...that feeling you get when you fast on sunday...only not that bad. Then...I will say a quick prayer...then I am so aware of what is going in. We can do this!! I promise!!
Love you,

Lisa

Two things that have helped me in the past are : 1. Do I want to eat this more than I want to be skinny? And sometimes the answer really is just yes I do. 2. This isn't the last time I will ever eat.

Hang in there girl. And remember, it's a life style change, not a diet. So, if you feel like eating that stuff, do it, get it out of the way, and then move on.....preferably to the gym....ha ha ha.

You can do it!!!!!!!!!!

Why can't food have NO TASTE?? I guess then life would be pretty boring. Try sugarless gum when you want to snack. A really sharp peppermint taste can squash your cravings for other things. I don't have any big answers, just that I agree with what the others have said. Never give up! You can do it!

Tracy: you are amazing. I am so proud of you for putting yourself out there like this. Not many people would be able to swallow their pride. You are an inspiration to me. Tips... hmmm, I chew gum after a meal or brush my teeth, it makes it feel like I am "done". Also, when i want a treat I have one bite, but make sure I am full of good stuff so I don't over indulge. That way I don't feel deprived. Also, hot chocolate is my friend. It is a great way to get my chocolate fix and not go overboard on calories. You have to be able to get some treats in so you don't feel like you're getting nothing at all. Keep up the great work with exercise. That will make all the difference! Love ya!!!

YAY for the great eating day. Good job. It's so funny that we are on the same cycle and we are like 1000 miles away from each other. LOL
YOu know me girl. Be happy with who you are and what you are. The happier you are the less you focus on outer extremeties like say..... FOOD!!! LOL
