NOT GOOD.

I am UP 2 POUNDS. Not good people. Not good.
.
I am drained by this terrible, weighty feeling. EVERY day, I tell myself, "This is it! This is the day that I am going to start to feel better again, start to take care of myself and enjoy my life!" Then, the day passes, and it happens again.
.
I have an incredible husband, wonderful friends, and time. That's why I don't understand myself. I feel guilty for feeling so badly when I have so much to be grateful for. I feel miserable.
.
Nobody is going to come to me, and hand me a magic pill, or all the answers. It's all in me, and I know this. It simply HAS to come out. The days of my life are passing - and I am just letting them go, instead of living them, and seizing the day. THIS IS NOT what I want out of life. I want to be happy. It's time to be happy!!!

Tracy, you can do it. I know you can.

(And just as an aside, the only things that have worked for me long term have been WW and running. Now I'm not even having to count points much if I run over 15 miles a week. It's great, and it's working.)

O.K. Tracy, right or wrong, here's what I think. I think you are a beautiful, wonderful, fantastic woman if you are 155 pounds or 165. I think enjoy your life and stop waiting for it to change. You've got it all. Enjoy now!! I think you look great and you are healthy and fine. Exercise to feel good and give the scale a break. Take what you have and be happy. You are great just the way you are!!!

Hi! I had a lightbulb moment about two months ago. And I know it's a simple concept but it all just clicked.

Two months ago I realized that everything I do gives me the body I have. This includes my body's weight, energy (or lack of), pains, and feel-goods. I have plateaued at a weight, which is about right on with you, for a very long time because I have had the same habits for a very long time. And two months ago I was happy to be 160 if it meant I could eat what I wanted, sleep longer, excercise less. I was happy with it all because I realized I was able to do and have all those things with the body I had. And I was okay with that.

Now, I have realized summer is coming up and I don't want to spend it like last year at 160 and all covered up. So, I changed my life style to a (insert goal weight) lifestyle. If I want to be that weight, for me it means eating better and excerising more. I can't have a life of 160 pounder AND the weight of a 140 pounder. Not possible. So I have to decide, do I want to be 160 if it means I get to eat two pieces of cake or do I want sacrifice those things so I can be more fit?

For now I am trying the lifestyle of a 140 pound me. And once I get there, if my life sucks and I realize I was so much more happy being 160-eating junk and being lazy I can always go back, right?

Call me! Let's do this together!

Tracy, I must take a moment to applaud your blog-homies. What Lisa said is incredibly profound. (She is absolutely right on the nose, girlfriend). And in addition to that, Jody's lightbulb moment turned out to be one for me also. (thanks Jody!) :) I have thought about what she said for a day or so and I believe the principle she outlined can be applied to so many aspects of my life. Physically and spiritually. Its almost too simple! Act like the person you want to be until you become that person! WOW! I love it.

You are an amzing and wonderful person. But you have to believe that in order for you to live that! Find that person that we all see. She is there, she is YOU! I know it is bleak but I promise there is light just around the corner. Write down all the things you love about yourself and post them on your mirror, or on the scale! Instead of seeing the #'s defining who you are you can see those things that the rest of us see. Believe that you are wonderful, there are too many of us that think that to be untrue! Love ya!
